A man has been arrested while transporting 2000 foreign cigarettes in Ja-Ela, the Navy said today (March 18).
A person was searched on suspicion by the Police and Navy yesterday and 2000 foreign cigarettes were found in his possession, which he was intending to sell.
The suspect is a 21 year old resident of Ragama. The suspect and the foreign cigarettes were handed over to the Ja-Ela Police for further investigation.
