Two underworld criminals Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias Harak Kata and Salindu Malshitha Gunaratne alias Kudu Salidu who were arrested in Madagascar were brought to the country today.
The duo along with another four suspects were brought by a team from the Criminal Investigation Department. A joint effort by INTERPOL and Madagascan law enforcement resulted in the arrest of the criminals at Ivato International Airport in Madagascar on March 1.
Two Madagascan officers arrived at the BIA and officially handed over them to Immigration officials here. The suspects were taken to the Criminal Investigation Department headquarters with heavy security deployed near the airport and along the roadsides.
