Armed forces deployed to CEB instalations
Members of the three armed forces have been deployed from 6 am today (16) at all power plants and grid substations belonging to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), the Ministry of Defence stated.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force personnel are now deployed for the protection of these locations.
Earlier, President Maithripala Sirisena ordered for the armed forces to be deployed to all CEB instalations following Sunday's island-wide power cut.
