Deputy Minister Arundika Fernando at FCID
Deputy Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs Arundika Fernando is currently at the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).
The statement is being recorded in relation to a meeting the deputy minister is said to have had with Sri Lanka's former Ambassador to Russia, Udayanga Weeratunga in Japan.
Mr Weeeratunga is currently wanted by law enforcement authorities in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, Mr Fernando has been summoned to the FCID to record his statement over the alleged meeting.
