Divinaguma to be renamed as Samurdhi
The Cabinet have approved a proposal to revert back to the name “Sanurdhi” instead of “Divingamuma” for the social benefit programme in improving of living standards of low income communities.
“The name Samurdhi was earlier used name which is also common among the public. Yet during the last regimewas changed. The change has now been made due to a request of the Officials who provide Smurdhi services.”Co-cabinet spokesman Minister Gayantha Karunatillake said.
