Former United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara has decided to file a fundamental rights petition before the Supreme Court against the recall of Parliament.
MP Weerasekara decided to do so while stating that the speaker's actions to convene Parliament after an interim order was issued to suspend the dissolution of Parliament, is unlawful.
He also stated that this fundamental rights petition will be filed before the Supreme Court today (Nov 19).
