Individual found murdered in Kandeketiya

A police investigation has been launched after the body of an individual who had been murdered was found from near the Meegolla Bridge in Kandeketiya yesterday (27). Police said the dead individual's hands had been bound behind his back.

The deceased has been identified as a 31-year-old resident of Meegahakivula.  

Initial inquiries have revealed that the victim had been reported missing since August 24.
