A Sri Lankan national suspected of links with the LTTE was detained by intelligence and airport authorities in Pune yesterday, Indian media reported.
The detained foreigner was supposed to board a flight for Frankfurt, before he was picked up. Though Maharashtra had never been a target for the LTTE, the police are probing the purpose of the operative in the state and the reason for his visit to Frankfurt, DNA reported.
The detained person has been identified as Suthan Suppiah.
