Mathematics tutor Nuwan Amaratunga has been remanded until July 29 along with seven others over an assault incident involving his bodyguards last week.
Amaratunga, the owner of a Prado jeep involved in the incident, had surrendered before the Attanagalle Magistrate’s court today (Jul 22).
The suspects, who were travelling in a defender and a prado jeep, have been accused assaultinng a van driver after overtaking the vehicle along the Kandy Road in Kalagedihena.
The mathematics teacher along with three others including the owner of a defender jeep had surrendered before court today.
Four individuals had surrendered to the Colombo Crimes Division following the incident last week.
