Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan's economic ties and trade linkages with Sri Lanka must be further strengthened for the benefit of their people. The prime minister stated this while talking to Pakistan's newly appointed High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Maj Gen Shakeel Hussain at the Prime Minister’s House. The designated high commissioner thanked the government for reposing confidence in him, quoting the Prime Minister’s Office statement Daily Times reported.
