Public officials to be paid interim monthly allowance of Rs 2500 from July 1
Public officials will be paid a special interim monthly allowance of Rs 2500 from July 01, the Ministry of Finance announced today (May 22).
This would be in addition to the Cost of Living allowance of Rs 7800 which is paid to public sector employees.
A circular in this regard has been issued by the Public Administration Ministry with the consent of the Treasury, the Finance Ministry said.
The circular has been sent to all ministry secretaries, chief provincial secreatries and Heads of Departments, the Ministry noted.
