The long awaited Right to Information bill was presented to Parliament today by Parliament Reforms and Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka.
The Bill provides every citizen right of access to information which is in the possession, custody or control of a public authority except for several areas specified in the draft bill.
Former Chairman of SriLankan Airlines, Nishantha Wickramasinghe, arrested on allegation of corruption by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has been remanded until July 1 by the Colombo Magistrate court.
