Six more suspects who were arrested along with underworld leader 'Makandure Madush' have been deported from Dubai this morning.
It is reported that a cousin brother of ‘Madush’ is also among the suspects who had arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in the early hours of today (Apr 17).
The suspects have been identified as follows ;
The suspects are currently being questioned by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
Following today’s deportation of six suspects, the total number of individuals who have been deported stands at 21.
Eight individuals have been released following questioning by the CID while one has been released on bail.
Four suspects including actor Ryan Van Rooyen have been remanded while ‘Kanjipaani Imran’ has been detained for further questioning under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
