A special committee will probe into the activities of Dr Mohamed Shafi - a Kurunegala Teaching Hospital doctor who was arrested recently, Minister Rajitha Senaratne said today (May 27).
The commitee will comprise a team of Gynecologists and a representative of the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC), the Health Minister told a news conference at Temple Trees.
Mr. Senaratne emphasised that the Health Ministry will not intervene into the investigations which are being carried out in this regard by the Criminal Investigations Department.
