A female suspect was arrested over the possession of heroin in the Thotalanga area in Grandpass last morning, police said today (May 17).
The arrest was set in motion upon a tip-off received by officers attached to the Organised Crimes Preventive Division.
Police have identified the suspect who was in possession of 34.4 grams of heroin, as a 37-year old woman of Thotalanga, Grandpass.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate's Court today (May 17).
Further investigations into the arrest are currently underway.
