The UNP is 500 percent confident of winning the forthcoming presidential elections, UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said today (Jan 14).
Addressing a meeting with politburo members of the Nikaweratiya electorate, MP Kariyawasam also said that the upcoming elections would most probably be a presidential poll.
Speaking further he said that instead of playing politics it is important to win the provincial council, parliamentary and the presidential polls and establish a government for 10 years.
He also added that the United National Front was capable of doing so by forming a coalition with other parties.
