Australia spun Sri Lanka Australia thrashed Sri Lanka to record  commanding ten wicket win inside three days in the first Test concluded at Galle International Stadium a short while ago.

Having taken a 109 run first innings lead, Australian spinners ripped through the Sri Lanka’s second innings, bowling them out for 113 with Nathan Lyon ( 4-31), Travis Head (4-10) and Mitchell Swepson (2-10)  doing the damage.  It needed Australia just 22.5 overs to bowl Sri Lanka out. Australia needed four balls to reach the target of 5.

SL 1st innings: 212 all out (59) (Dickwella 58, Nathan Lycon 5/90, Mitchell 3/55) and 108 for nine (22) (Dimuth Karunaratne 23, Nathan Lyon 3/30, Travis Head 2/1) and 113 all out (22.5) (Dimuth Karunaratne 23, Nathan Lyon 4/31, Travis Head 4/10)
 
Aus 1st innings: 321 all out (70.5) (Cameron Green 77, Usman Khawaja 71, Alex Carey 45, Ramesh Mendis 4/112) and 10 for no loss
