Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva have been named for the five-match ODI series against Australia starting next week.
One notable inclusion has been that of Dunith Wellalage, former U19 captain, also featuring in the ‘A’ team and has been making rapid progress from the junior team.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa, sought-after in recent times for his pinch-hitting, is also named in the 21-man pool.
The five-match series gets underway in Pallekele, Kandy, next Tuesday (14) with the first two matches set to be hosted in same venue.
The action of the last three matches will then return to Colombo, to be played on June 19, 21 and 24.
The squad was subject to sports minister approval.
