Sri Lanka's preparations hit a bolt from the blues road block when their young fast-bowler - Dilshan Madushanka - sustained an injury during their last training session, on the eve of the World Cup-opener, on Saturday, at Geelong.
This occurred, when the 22-year-old was into his opening over and in midway of it, had to halt after the injury on his hip.
The exact injury was not immediately clear.
On the other hand, out-of-form batter, Charith Asalanka, will be missing the team's curtain raiser on Sunday.
