Two of Colombo’s leading schools in swimming – Visakha Vidyalaya and St Joseph’s Maradana – swam for opening day honours at the National Schools Swimming Games that commenced on Friday, at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex.
The three-day meet saw, Visakha finishing Friday only by a whisker by a point, closely followed by Lyceum International Wattala on 18.
In the boys’ category, Joes closed Friday on 28 points, and Ananda College Colombo behind with a deficit of four points.
