Two former Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials have been allegedly engaged in a physical confrontation with each other at the Ministry of Sports today (18) according to reliable sources.
TimesOnline learns that former SLC Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga and Sujeewa Godaliyadda, who are running for the position of SLC Presidency, were allegedly involved in a scuffle at the Sports Ministry, when they were summoned by the Director General of Sports K.D.S. Ruwanchandra for an inquiry.
The Director General of Sports Ruwanchandra had called the two officials for an inquiry with regard objections filed against the candidates running for the SLC.
Ranatunga and Godaliyedda, a coordinator to Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala who is also running for the President’s post at SLC, had been engaged in a fight on their way to the inquiry informed sources said.
