Sri Lanka beat India 3-0 in a One Day International series to win the Oxigen Cricket Cup for the physically challenged national cricket teams, held in India in September. In the first match played in Agra on September 19, Sri Lanka beat India comfortably to follow with two more back-to-back wins. They beat the hosts again in the second encounter played at Firozabad by 18 runs and went on to win the third game at Ranchi by 5 wickets to win the series 3-0. Oxigen Services (India) Pvt Ltd and Disabled Sporting Society of India organised the cricket tournament to promote awareness amongst physically challenged people to join sports and become mainstream sports persons.

The Supreme Court today refused interim relief in an application filed by President’s Counsel Senaka Walgampaya seeking an Order from the Supreme Court compelling the President to appoint judges to fill the existing vacancies in the Court Of Appeal.
The deadline for online applications to the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination has been extended until July 12, the Department of Examinations said.
