On Monday (21) the Annual General Meeting and elections of the Asian Federation of Netball Associations (AFNA) 2015 where office-bearers for the next two years will be elected will be held in Hong Kong.
Sri Lanka’s Lakhmi Victoria who had been president of the AFNA since 2013 will lose the president ship at this meeting.
Victoria tried to be president this time too but did not receive approval from the Sports Minister.
The Sports Minister intervened and approved Yasa Ramachandra’s name (the present head of the Sri Lanka Netball Federation) but according to the AFNA constitution her name was rejected.
