Sri Lanka has made three changes to their ODI team against the series against New Zealand which will be followed soon after the Test series.
Nuwan Kulasekara, Kithruwan Vithanage and Thisara Perera will now take places of injured Dhammika Prasad, withdrawn Kusal Perera and Lasith Malinga, who is ruled out due to a knee injury.
“The National Selection Committee of SLC has made the following changes to the Sri Lanka team for the upcoming ODI series in New Zealand. Nuwan Kulasekera replaces injured Dammika Prasad, Kithruwan Vithanage has been named as replacement for Kusal Janith Perera. Thisara Perera has been drafted in as cover for Lasith Malinga in the ODI squad. Lasith will undergo a fitness test to determine his recovery from a knee injury which he picked up during the tour of the West Indies. A final decision on Lasith Malinga's participation in the series shall be taken once the fitness test is concluded,” a media release issued by SLC said.
