Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) elections to elect office bearers has been postponed until February 21 due to certain legal requirements that needto be met.
The election which was initially scheduled to be held on February 07 was postponed upon the advice of the Attorney General, the Sports Ministry Secretary said in a letter to SLC CEO Ashley de Silva.
The letter noted that Sports Minister Harin Fernando had decided to postpone the elections by two weeks as per the provisions of Article 39 (1) of the Sports Act.
