Education opportunities in New Zealand

The New Zealand Education Fair will be held in Colombo today at the Hilton Residences organised by the New Zealand High Commission. The event will showcase New Zealand’s educational opportunities, and the high standards of tertiary education available at premier institutions in New Zealand.

Nine New Zealand institutes will be participating, including three Universities, five Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics and one Private Training Establishment, according to an official statement.
Robert Stevens, CEO of Education New Zealand, says “Overseas students are particularly impressed by the personal attention received at New Zealand institutions.

Their access to tutors and lecturers goes far beyond their expectations;” adding that, “For a small country, New Zealand offers a surprisingly wide range of subjects and courses in tertiary education. We have 20 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) that focus on practical, skills-oriented training in areas like hospitality & tourism, design, computers, nursing, fashion and many others. Graduates of these programmes make an easy transition into the working world with the skills they acquire during their education.”

Education New Zealand is a non-profit trust governed by the New Zealand export education industry.
