Time, Dear Thattha
Flies on wings
On the chariots of horses
Soft and swift.
It is one year
Since you departed
For the other world,
Leaving us to wonder.
The last look on your face
The dim eyes, far-reaching;
I motioned with hands
They responded not.
You would wait in the armchair
With that smile of yours
Radiant with recognition
The chair's still there
Facing the gate
But you aren't there,
Only an image in frame.
You are remembered
By all of us,
For you gave us life
To withstand any strife
So Thank You once again
For your advice and knowledge;
We do appreciate everything
With religious grace!
