The Indira Cancer Trust signed an MoU with Archio Design and Build on May 25 to officially commence work on ‘Suwa Arana - A place for healing’ – a paediatric housing unit and South Asia’s first Paediatric Palliative Care Centre. The Sri Lanka Medical Association of North America (SLMANA) -Western Region has supported the project with Rs. 155 million. The total cost of the project is Rs. 425 million and the Trust is hoping to raise the remaining funds within a year to open the doors of Suwa Arana to children and their families by 2023.
