Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has appointed a five-member panel, mostly consisting legal experts, to inquire the alleged misconduct of three players, who are currently serving a ban from cricket for breaching the bio security bubble during Sri Lanka's tour to England.
"SLC wishes to announce the appointment of a 5-Member Panel to inquire into the alleged misconduct of three players, namely Kusal Mendis, Dhanushka Gunathilake and Niroshan Dickwella while touring England with the National Team," a press release issued by SLC stated.
The five-member panel includes Justice Nimal Dissanayaka (Retd Judge of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka), Panduka Keerthinanda (Attorney-at-Law), Asela Rekawa (Attorney-at-Law), Uchitha Wickremasinghe (Attorney-at-Law) and Major General (Retd) M.R.W. de Zoysa.
The three players are currently being suspended from all forms of cricket, until the completion of the inquiry.
