Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Selection Committee has named a squad of 25 players for the upcoming white-ball series against India with Dasun Shanaka taking the role of captain.
The squad includes six players who were not part of the tour to England, including middle-order batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who successfully overcame a skin-fold test.
From the squad that toured England, Kusal Mendis, Niroshan Dickwella, Danushka Gunathilake, Oshada Fernando and Nuwan Pradeep have been dropped and they have been replaced by Ashen Bandara, Lahiru Udara, Minod Bhanuka, Lahiru Kumara, Kasun Rajitha and Rajapaksa.
Mendis, Dickwella and Gunathilake were suspended well early during the tour to England, for breaching the bio security bubble, and have been suspended pending inquiry.
The ODI matches will be played on July 17, 19 and 21 followed by the T20 series games on July 24, 25 and 27 at the R. Premadasa ICS in Colombo.
