Three officials of Sri Lanka Cycling Federation (SLCF) are said to have been suspended according to a decision taken by its Executive Committee. After a special meeting among members of the Executive Committee of the SLCF, it decided to suspend the incumbent vice president Lesley Rupasinghe and two secretaries of district associations – Kumara Perera and Sudesh de Silva, temporarily from all activities related to cycling. The three suspended officials are said to have attempted sabotage during the National Cycling Championship which was held in Anuradhapura on October 31. The three officials are charged with forcing riders from their respective districts to boycott the National Championship.
