Mohammed Saheel of Zahira College Colombo was adjudged the Most Outstanding Player at the football tournament of the All Island School Games held in Trincomalee.
The competition was conducted in three age groups.
In the Under-15 championship was won by St. Patrick’s College Jaffna with St. Henry’s College as the runners-up.
Third place went to St. Lucia’s College Mannar.
De Mazenod College Kandana were the Under-17 champions.
The runners-up were Hameed Al Hussain Colombo 14 were the runners-up.
St. Patrick’s Jaffna was third.
Hameed Al Hussain were Under-19 champions with Zahira College Colombo as the runners-up.
Kinniya MMV Trincomalee was third.
There was only one category in the girls tournament which was the Under-19 tournament where Maliyadeva Balika Kurunegala to the champion spot with Kavithigamuwa Gamini MV Kurunegala as the runners-up.
Parakrabahu MMV finished third.

The Colombo High Court today (28) sentenced former parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra to three years of Rigorous Imprisonment over charges of the involvement of an abduction.
In his special statement, President Ranil Wickremesinghe announced that debt restructuring agreements will postpone all bilateral loan payments to foreign countries until 2028. Additionally, Sri Lanka will have until 2043 to repay these loans on concessional terms.
