WI in SL: Windies win 50-over warm-up game on D/L

West Indians won the 50-over warm-up game beating Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Board President’s XI by 43 runs on Duckworth/Lewis Method at Colts ground on Thursday (29).   Put into bat first, the West Indians were seven wickets down for 109 runs at one stage but a hurricane knocks of 113 off 58 balls by Carlos Brathwaite and Andre Russell, who hit 89 runs off 54 deliveries, help them post 318 runs.   Brathwaite hit ten boundaries and seven sixes and Russell hit six fours and six sixes while featuring in a partnership of 193 runs for the eighth wicket.   Binura Fernando took three wickets while Seekkuge Prasanna and Isuru Udana claimed two scalps each.   SLC Board XI were 103 for the loss of three wickets when rain stopped play and they were 43 runs below par target on Duckworth/Lewis Method.   West Indians 318 all out (48.4) (Darren Bravo 24, Marlon Samuels 19, Jason Holder 15, Andre Russell 89, Carlos Brathwaite 113, Binura Fernando 3/71, Seekkuge Prasanna 2/60, Isuru Udana 2/69)   SLC Board XI 103 for 3 wickets (21) when rain halted play (Kusal Mendis 32, Lahiru Thirimanne 41)
