Standard Chartered Bank has partnered with leading mobile phone operators - Dialog, Airtel and Etisalat in order to introduce SMS Banking to its savings and current accountholders while credit cardholders enjoy free SMS alerts, the bank said.
It said customers now have SMS access to their account information, view the last three most recent transactions, request for statements or even cheque books and execute fund transfers within their own accounts and to nominated third party accounts withi the Bank.
Customers can also receive the latest foreign currency rates and make utility payments via SMS, the statement said.
Sheahan Arasaratnam General Manager, Retail Banking Products and Marketing said, “The ease of accessing and managing your finances without having to visit a bank branch or make a phone call will leave our customers with more time on their hands.” |
