A UNIQUELY flexible MBA for aspiring Sri Lankan executives has been launched by Scotland's Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) and Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel.
In a global first, the new MBA programme will be delivered via Mobitel's mLearning platform, allowing students to follow lectures in an interactive virtual classroom environment.
Students enrolled in the course would be able to interact with lecturers on a face-to-face level through the mLearning platform, and will graduate with a UK qualification.
The online degree programme is on par with other Edinburgh Napier University MBA degrees and has been designed to fit the busy working life of Executives and to be as flexible as possible.
Students also have the option to add further value to their studies by spending a Semester at the Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland.
Commenting on the unique partnership, Professor George Stonehouse, Dean of Edinburgh Napier University's Business School, said: "As a university rated among the best for employability in the UK, with a significant international presence including in India, Hong Kong and other countries, we are delighted to extend one of our post graduate programmes to Sri Lanka as well.
The unique feature about pursuing your studies via the mLearning platform is that all environments have been created to promote interactivity among students and lecturers whilst enhancing a student's learning experience without requiring physical presence in the university."
Professor Stonehouse added: "The most important fact is that due to its design and unparalleled functionalities, ambitious students with the thirst to broaden their knowledge can now confidently do so with the help of Mobitel's mLearning platform."
Students enrolled in the course will learn and acquire a variety of skills related to business, including creative problem solving, critical reasoning and strategic thinking. Global Economic principles, strategic business issues, organisational management and the realities of the competitive marketplace will be studied. Communication techniques, both written and verbal, will also be highlighted.
