State Timber Corporation has taken steps to introduce a new line of doorframes to the market in order to minimize illegal timber felling.
Under the new innovation drive, the State Timber Corporation, under the government Ministry of Environment, has also brought in to the market a new brand of doorframes called 'Randora Sanstha', yesterday (22).
As part of this, the corporation has made plans to place utmost importance on the use of Eucalyptus microcorys timber in meeting the population's demand for doorframes.
Explaining further the initiative, the Ministry of Environment noted that this particular timber wood species is famous for its exceptional durability and strenght. For that reason, its use as timber not only becomes economically viable but also speaks to a high level of commitment towards long - term sustainability.
The ministry emphasized that the timber supplies would be publicised at affordable prices through commercial forestry plantations, with assured quality.
