‘Sihina Devduwa’: Vinu’s debut in cinema

Vinu Veththamuni’s maiden film production ‘Sihina Devduwa’ released from March 6 on Ridma circuit cinemas around the country.

A combination of young up and coming stars, the film is played by Saliya Sathyajith, Theshara Jayawardena, Indika Fernando, Nanda Wickramage, Rajitha Hiran, Melani Asoka and Vinu herself in the stellar cast and it is directed by Suresh Kumarasinghe.

The film revolves around the young couple Vishwa and Natasha, undergraduates studying in the same university. Hailing from a family of rich planters Vishwa’s uncle plans to get her daughter Roshel married to the young undergraduate in order to prevent the ancestral wealth getting out of the family circle.

But murder of a lecturer in the university in the presence of Natasha leads ‘Sihina Devduwa’ to a dramatic turn.

Edited by Kumarasiri de Silva, art directed by Keerthi Lalson, ‘Sihina Devduwa’ is cinematographed by Lalith M. Thomas.
