The LTTE yesterday agreed to abide by provisions in a recent
agreement reached with the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission for
sea movement between the north and east.

"Upon a complaint made by President Chandrika Kumaratunga,
the Attorney General indicted the Editor of The Sunday Times
on two counts, of criminal defamation, an offence under section
479 punishable under section 480 of the Penal Code, in that
he had published or he had caused the publication of a gossip

Moragoda
in India
Minister Milinda Moragoda last evening left for India to brief
leaders there of the latest developments in the peace process,
a ministry spokesman said.

Mr. Moragoda would meet Defence Minister George Fernandes,
Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha, Finance Minister Jaswant
Singh, Information Technology Minister Pramod. Mahajan and
advisors to Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.
