John Keells Computer Services (JKCS) has introduced a web-based hotel management solution for the local hospitality industry.
The Zara Central Reservation System (Zara CSR), the first module of the Zara Hospitality Suite, will enable hotels to efficiently manage room rates and travel agent contracts, and process bookings through all sales channels, including tour operators, call centre, hotel front-desk and corporate accounts, said a press release from JKCS.
“Hotels are experiencing an unprecedented demand and are realising the need for a central management tool to effectively run their businesses and attract high spending guests. To support this need, JKCS has created Zara CRS, a comprehensive IT solution that is suited for any hotel or hotel chain that wants to increase room occupancy, and thereby revenue,” said the CEO of JKCS,
Dhananjaya Chandrasekera.
JKCS, a software subsidiary of Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate the John Keells Group, specialises in developing airline software. The company has developed IT systems for airline giants like Qatar, Air Arabia and Kingfisher Airlines.
The company’s latest offering to the hospitality sector, the Zara system, is 100% web-based and can be accessed from anywhere in the world via the Internet, allowing hotels to be managed online.
The Zara system applies a pay-as-you-earn pricing system, which follows the SaaS (Software as a Service model). Therefore, the hotel pays only for occupied room nights booked through the suite, says JKCS. The full Zara Hospitality Suite will also include a property management system and an Internet booking engine. JKCS has coupled the product with services for seamless and fast implementation, comprehensive training, ongoing support, and a product enhancement roadmap. |
