EWIS, the local ICT company that was ranked ‘gold’ in the Corporate Accountability Index 2010, of STING Consultants and LMD, celebrated its 24th anniversary recently.“As the pioneering local ICT Company in the country, EWIS celebrates its 24th anniversary, marking the beginning of another successful year ahead,” announced the company in a press release.
The only ICT company in the country to affiliate with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), EWIS says it is committed to social responsibility. “Our best practices mirrored the tenets embedded in the UNGC and it seemed to us a natural corollary to affiliate with a global code of best practices that has been embraced by world-class corporate,” said the Chairman/CEO of EWIS, Sanjeewa Wickramanayake.
