The Annual Agribusiness Awards will be held for the fifth consecutive year, together with the Ag-Biz Trade Fair, from August 20 – 22, 2010, at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre.
The Agribusiness Awards, organised by the National Agribusiness Council (NAC), which is an affiliate of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, recognises the contributions by the formal business sector towards the development of agribusiness in Sri Lanka, the NAC said in a press release.
Application forms for the awards are available at the NAC Secretariat at 50, Nawam Mawatha Colombo 02, or can be downloaded from www.agrolanak.net.
The awards are categorised under small, medium and large and under the segments of input suppliers, services, producers, processors, and marketers.
Two ‘National Icon’ awards will be given to personalities that have made lasting contributions, while a ‘Young Innovator’ award will also be offered.
The applications are evaluated by a panel of agriculturalists, accountants, and marketing consultants from the private and public sectors. |
