Gateway, Sri Lanka's leading educational organization has started to make important strides in tertiary education through its higher education institution, the Gateway Graduate School. The success of the institution in a very short period of time is aptly demonstrated with the outstanding results of its students within the first one and a half years. Gateway Graduate School, in partnership with NCC Education UK, offers a choice of two career pathways to complete Degrees in Business Computing and Information Systems or Business Administration, here in Sri Lanka.
In both Degrees, students are able to receive industrial recognized qualifications - Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas, from NCC Education UK on successful completion of the first and second years. The courses are offered on both part-time and full-time basis and students have the option of completing the full programme in Sri Lanka or transferring to overseas universities in UK, USA or Australia at the end of every academic year. An additional International Foundation Programme is available for students who wish to join after Sri Lankan or London O/L.
Initially, the Memorandum of Understanding confirms Gateway students' rights to transfer with advanced standing during their course of study onto pathways at La Trobe such as the Bachelor of Information Systems, Bachelor of Computer Studies, or Bachelor of Information Technology degrees. The Business Administration degrees currently offered will also be covered by a further Memorandum. However, because of the high degree of synergy between the goals of the two establishments discovered at the recent meeting, both sides are looking to expand quickly on the number of courses being offered, possibly with subjects such as psychological sciences or common first year engineering and science courses being delivered in Gateway Graduate School. |
