Courses are updated on a regular basis, to incorporate the latest findings, developments, theories and practices, ensuring that they continue as passports to further academic and professional career opportunities for students.
Course and qualifications
Cavendish College offers Undergraduate courses in Business and Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, e-Business Strategies, Hospitality Management and Computing.
The undergraduate courses on offer at Cavendish College give you flexibility. You can enrol on a bachelor's degree from the beginning, or you can start by taking a two-year HND and then top up to a degree afterwards. For students with previous Higher Education level qualifications, entry directly into the second or final year will also be possible.
Postgraduate courses at Cavendish College give you the ultimate opportunity to pursue your own specialist interests. Courses last from one year to nearly two years, and there is a choice from: Business and Management, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Digital Media and Creative studies.
To join a postgraduate course at Cavendish College, in most cases you'll need to hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) from UK or overseas. This is the foundation from which you'll be able to go on to study a postgraduate diploma or a master's degree. You'll also be expected to have proficiency in English of at least IELTS 6.0 level (or equivalent).
Postgraduate diplomas are one-year taught postgraduate courses that don't usually involve a large research project (or dissertation). They're accepted as professional qualifications in the relevant field, giving you a fantastic head start in your chosen career. They can also provide significant exemptions from a Master's Degree.
Our taught master's courses last between one and two years (depending on the chosen subject) and consist of two elements: you will complete a number of taught modules (which will include attending lectures and seminars, writing essays and taking examinations) and also produce a major dissertation from original research. Cavendish College master's courses are validated and awarded by University of Sunderland.
