The Dean of the international programmes of the University of London has expressed his satisfaction that Sri Lanka is one of the largest markets for students who complete their qualifications through international programmes. Over the years more than 1200 Sri Lankan students have completed their degree and many of them have gone on to high profile and interesting careers.

What's more, Royal Institute of Colombo graduates of the last batch bagged 13 World's Best results in the relevant subject areas viz Mathematics 1, Micro Economics 1, International Political Economy, International and Comparative Perspectives, Information Systems Evaluation, Social Research Methods, Advanced Mathematical Analysis, Mathematics of Finance and Valuation, Comparative Social Structures and Institutions, Methods of Social Research, Advanced Statistics: Statistical Inference, Information Systems Project and World's Best in Mathematics 1 of the Diploma in Economics.
Royal Institute of Colombo Affiliate Centre of the University of London offers opportunities for students to obtain prestigious and internationally recognized degrees of the University of London without leaving the shores of Sri Lanka and at a fraction of the cost of studying for the same degree in United Kingdom. These opportunities have been used by hundreds of students each year.
The Degree and Diploma programme is linked with and strongly supported by the well established internationally reputed University of London. The management of Royal Institute of Colombo is very pleased about the excellent results the programme has been able to produce every year - over 97.5% pass rate and 100% in some years.
Royal Institute of Colombo offers excellent study facilities including computer laboratories with modern equipment and internet access, an automated library which has an extensive collection of books in all fields of study, supplementary books and other reading material recommended by the University of London for various programmes that are offered.
Additionally, students are provided with on-line access to the University of London library as well. Though the internet has replaced libraries in many quarters, RIC considers the importance of a well equipped library to be an asset to students of an institute of higher learning.
Students can also access the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) through individually assigned passwords and read books and listen to lectures at the University of London.
Most importantly, the University of London evaluated panel of qualified and dedicated academic staff are capable and understanding the needs of students so that the students are able to make the most of their abilities and achieve full potential in an environment conducive to learning.

All international programmes offered are developed by academicians which ensures that the awards are recognized worldwide for their quality and value that all students benefit from the academic rigour and cutting edge research undertaken by the University of London.
Students of the international programmes are examined to the same standard as that required of students enrolled at the University's constituent colleges.
Therefore, candidates granted degrees and other awards shall have attained the same academic standard irrespective of the place of study.
