Admission requirements would be GCE (O/L) with at least five passes including Science, Maths and Language (Sinhalese medium- Sinhala or English medium - English) in not more than two sittings. Both genders are acceptable and no age limitations. The programme is of 2 years duration and the students must maintain an attendance record of 80% and undergo 960 hours of internship to be qualified in achieving the Higher National Diploma in General Nursing.
PAHTE possesses modern laboratory facilities equipped with cutting edge technology. Practical training is carried out in collaboration with private hospitals. All theory classes are held at Park Hospital, conveniently located at Park Road, Narahenpita. Students are also facilitated with internet and CD-ROM based teaching with loads of video and multimedia presentations. All students are given access to our computer labs to obtain internet based resources any time of the day.
